This is a multimedia project. But you will have choices for which tool, app or combination of tools you use to complete the project.
This in not just a quick throw it together project, it should reflect scholarly thought and research. Think deeply and think about the videos and resources above as well as, all you have done this semester and explored.
DO YOUR RESEARCH!! What are the classrooms of the future, teaching and teachers going to be like in 3 years, 5 years, 10 years, etc.? Technology is changing the way we teach and learn and well as the way the function in our everyday lives.
Make sure you have research to back up what you are saying. Include examples, links, images, movies, writing, everything you can. Consider this a mini-research project.
Keep in mind it is the current trend and schools are jumping into using iPads with breakneck speeds; Why? Cost, ease of use & management, textbooks are 1/2 the price, it affords creativity and productivity and many more reasons.
You may work individually or with ONE partner.

"Teachers, Throw Away the Old Playbook," in which the argument is made that teachers who are teaching the traditional ways and ignoring the fact that technology has affected the way today's students learn are doing a disservice to the students and themselves. Disruption and feeling a little uncomfortable isn't a bad thing for teachers.
Think about the term Tridigital Learning: A balance between past, present and future is essential as we move education forward.
Think about Imagining the best learning space........We all see school the way we've always know it, How do we re-imagine it?
NOTE: There are no right or wrong answers here, this should be your thinking and what you believe your classroom is going to be one day soon. BUT, make sure you have some facts and documentation to back up what you are saying.

It is possible to write this up like you would a research paper with links and images, but how boring that would be..... for this final project, we will take advantage of Multimedia tools and make a movie. You have choices: You could use iMovie on your Mac or iMovie iPad or an online movie making tool (I have not used any of these online tools, I would use iMovie on my Mac or iPad) or if you have no other option you could use Windows Movie Maker. Here is a new online Video tool I just learned about today (July 10) http://www.wevideo.com.
You could also use Meograph, or Voicethread. It is even a possibility to use Smore and combine your writing, links, images and your movie.
The multimedia tool you use is your choice.
You will need to upload you Movie to your Youtube channel to be able to add to your website or Smore or Meograph, etc.
All projects must be complete on your website by July 22, 8am. I will begin grading
Unfortunately, grades do not show up in ISIS until the summer semester completely ends for all classes. Therefore, if there is a problem with your website and it appears as though you will not receive and A, I will email you directly, let you know the problem, give you a deadline for correcting or fixing and then I will re-evaluate before I finalize your grade. If you hear nothing from me by morning on Friday, July 26, you may assume you have received an A for DED 318.
